Errachidia Private Desert Tour

A two-day private trip from Errachidia into the Merzouga desert: visit nomads, hear Gnawa music, ride a camel into the Erg Chebbi dunes and spend a night in a luxury camp. Our team speaks English, Spanish, French, Italian and some Portuguese, as well as our own Berber (Amazigh) and Arabic.

Day 1: Errachidia – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

At 8:00 am a private taxi picks you up at your hotel in Errachidia, or at the airport if your flight arrives on time. On the way we stop to photograph the Ziz Valley, reaching Merzouga after about two hours.

Here you switch to a private 4×4 and your guide takes you to visit a nomad family and to the village of Khamlia for Gnawa music, with a Berber pizza for lunch.

In the afternoon you travel the old way – by camel. Your camel men show you how to get on, then you ride for about an hour through the dunes to the luxury camp, with sandboarding and sunset on the way. You have your own luxury tent with private shower and toilet, followed by dinner and Berber music around the campfire.

Day 2: Merzouga – Errachidia

Wake up to watch the sunrise over the dunes, then enjoy a delicious breakfast. You return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4, where your private taxi is waiting to take you back to Errachidia.
