Watch the sun rise over the Erg Chebbi dunes on a guided walk – a peaceful, early-morning way to see the desert at its most beautiful.
How the trip works
- Your driver picks you up at your hotel in Erfoud about two hours before sunrise, in private transport.
- After about an hour’s drive to Merzouga, you meet your local guide and walk for about an hour into the Erg Chebbi dunes.
- At the top of the high dunes you have free time to enjoy the orange sand and watch the sun come up. Our guides speak several languages and are happy to answer your questions about Berber life and living in the desert.
- You walk back over the dunes for about an hour to meet your driver, who takes you back to your hotel in Erfoud.
